Adaptative Cover to Achieve Thermal Comfort in Open Spaces of Buildings: Experimental Assessment and Modelling

چکیده
The global need for healthy and safe open spaces faces continuous temperature rise due to the heat island phenomenon climate change. This problem requires new strategies improving habitability of (indoor outdoor conditions in buildings). These techniques include reducing solar radiation, surrounding surfaces, air temperature. radiant solutions are essential comfort, both summer winter. They easy integrate into spaces. study explores a concept adapted solution was evaluated test cell obtain its thermal behaviour different operation conditions. Solutions were optimised operating cooling regimen since it has been identified that demands comfort hot climates during most severe months more pronounced. Experimental results have allowed getting an inverse model analyse solution. achieved high precision estimations. Also, facilitated knowing convective effects. Only flux is relevant with low level confinement. Finally, discussion describes application proposed model. allows replicability solution—creating designs (integration) or evaluating system. demonstrates knowledge acquired characterisation studied.

متن کاملThermal Comfort in Transition Spaces
Resource depletion and global warming dictate needs to reduce energy consumption, however energy used for the environmental space conditioning of buildings remains substantial; even in well-designed examples. Therefore the ways in which buildings are utilized, and occupant expectations of comfort in building environments should be researched to determine alternative means for optimizing perform...

The level of satisfaction with an environment differs among individuals, which may be caused by social, psychological and physical factors. One of the environmental factors affecting physical and mental satisfaction, is the thermal condition of space. In recent years, the importance of thermal comfort has been accentuated due to the climate change and global warming, increasing the number of st...

As students spend one-third of their time at school, their health, comfort, and productivity are mostly influenced by thermal condition and indoor air quality of classrooms. Regarding that manual window-opening is a common way for providing fresh air in classes and students aren't allowed to change their uniform, position or control the windows during the lesson hours, providing thermal comf...
